Indeed’s Evolution…

Indeed.com announced it is beta testing a PPA solution with select clients where advertisers only pay for job applicants, as opposed to just visitors, according to blogger Joel Cheesman.

He likens it to an “evolution from the pay-per-click model currently in fashion.”

Cheesman notes that it is a “very interesting development in the online recruitment space that helps push the envelope further away from the flat-fee model that has thrived since the dawn of the job board.”

ZoomInfo’s Daily Crawl…

At last week’s Recruiting 2007 Conference and Expo, ZoomInfo announced it will update the business information search engine’s data on a daily basis beginning at the end of the month.

With this new architecture in place, ZoomInfo will have the ability and capacity to crawl hundreds of millions of pages daily, and present the new information to ZoomInfo users each day.

The company says it is getting “smarter” about how it crawls the Web, listening to customers’ requests to decrease the lag time in updating the information.

The company’s information on people and companies was previously updated every five to six weeks.

Military.com Wins Webby Award…

Military.com has received a Webby Award, the Internet equivalent of the Oscars, for its display advertising capabilities.

Another Monster Worldwide site, the Career Advice Portal, also won a Webby Award. It was recognized for its career content as the Best Employment Web site after more than 400,000 votes were cast.

“Receiving two Webby Award recognitions underscores our dedication to satisfying site visitors, employers, and advertisers,” said Brad Baker, president, product, technology and service, Monster Worldwide.
