Monster-in-Law: Hudson Sponsors Revamped Legal Center

Just in time for law-school graduation season, Monster is offering a newly revamped area on how to negotiate salary trends, ace an interview, and of course, land that first full-time legal job.

While Monster has had a legal section for quite some time, it says this revamped site has new features and allows companies to sponsor certain sections of the site.

In this case, Hudson Legal, which focuses on legal staffing and outsourced projects for law firms and corporate legal departments, is the sponsor.

The Legal Career Center is intended to provide career advancement and recruitment efforts for new attorneys, experienced attorneys, and other legal professionals, says Hudson. The content is geared toward lawyers at firms of all sizes, contract attorneys, paralegals, in-house corporate counsel, and legal secretaries.

In addition, now Hudson recruiters can answer questions from job seekers on the community message board.

In one particular posting, a skilled software engineer is seeking advice on intellectual property law, and whether to pursue a J.D. degree — or a Ph.D. — or perhaps an MBA. Hudson’s response, in part, says he should “stick to focusing as much or all of your energy toward the degrees that will get you the job you desire.”

Hudson says it partnered with Monster because of its “outstanding reputation” in the marketplace.

“I am confident that Monster and Hudson’s combined expertise on the job market and workplace issues will quickly transform this site into the go-to source for professionals in the field of law,” said Hudson Legal EVP Troy Gregory, in a release.
