David Watson is the vice president of global talent acquisition at Axon (formerly TASER International), a company at the forefront of innovation and technology within public safety. Axon’s suite of connected products from body and in-car cameras to drones and artificial intelligence, allows it to live out its mission to “Protect Life” while giving law enforcement agencies the flexibility and the versatility to operate with increased transparency and efficiency.
In his role, he leads the strategic direction and delivery of the talent acquisition organization across several key functions including: sourcing, executive hiring, recruiting operations, campus recruiting, technical, sales, and corporate functions. His team also oversees Axon’s employment brand, recruitment marketing, and onboarding.
Prior to Axon, he was the senior director of talent acquisition for Avanade, a $3B joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft. Previously, he led the recruiting operations for the technical solutions and Microsoft Dynamics CRM division for Ascentium, a digital marketing and Technology firm. He spent 15 years as the owner and managing director of his own executive search agency.
