Jodie Garrison, the "Recruitment Yogini", provides balance to her highly successful recruiting career by devoting time to yoga and her love of studying people’s career stories. She began recruiting full time in 2008 and loves it. Jodie earned her chops as a professional recruiter in the franchise industry, creating a pipeline of new franchise prospects, streamlining the vetting process, and improving lead generation. At the start of the Great Recession, employers trimmed payrolls by 1.2 million jobs and temporary help services jobs declined 9.4%. This didn’t deter from Jodie from changing the direction of her career. Seeking a change, Jodie founded a general staffing franchise, providing a unique vantage point for learning more about recruiting and herself. This led Jodie to an opportunity with a startup, which morphed into a marketing/recruiting consulting business where she recruited designers and developers to deliver marketing projects. When a key client was acquired, Jodie began recruiting hardware and software engineers.
Jodie is now established as a Senior Tech Recruiter on the U.S. Talent Acquisition team at a global technology company called ARM, with expertise in recruiting sales, IoT, CPU, wireless, and more. (You may not have heard of ARM, but you are using ARM technology right now.) In addition to a successful career as a leader in the recruiting industry, Jodie practices yoga along with other life hacks, hence the title Recruitment Yogini.
